I went to my first wedding yesterday for a family friend. It was lovely. Here's some pictures from the reception which was at StarRoom Darling Harbour (Level 6 IMAX theatre building):

Meals were served in alternating order (2 to choose from), luckily I got all the ones I wanted! Vegetarian Ravioli
Seafood plate: mussels, prawns with thousand island sauce, scallops with avocado and smoked salmon.
For mains, there was lamb and maybe a potato gratin type side
Barrimundi with mash and salsa verde maybe.
Pear and frangipani tart with marscapone and some caramel sauce. This was soo good! tarts made with almond meal are always so nice. Although, the little pears weren't cooked enough. Sauce was perfect.
Trifle, very pretty but too sweet for me.
Wedding cake! It was nice that they had some bags as well so we could take some home if we wanted. They also served canapes at the start.
It was a beautiful reception with delicious food, a live band playing old classics and a lot of dancing.
